In loving memory of Marguerita ‘Rita’ Atkinson nee Crompton, who sadly passed away peacefully on the 25th April 2020 aged 88 years.
From humble beginnings in Bradford, West Riding. Rita toured the world, living in such places as Hong Kong, America, Germany and Cyprus before finally settling down in Lincolnshire. Suffering from Alzheimer's she always maintained her pride and sense of humour to the end and leaves behind two children, five grandchildren and many more friends and family who will always love and miss her. x

You never said I'm leaving, You never said Goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still. In my heart I hold a place that only you can fill. It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn't go alone. A part of me went with you the day God took you home.
I love you mum, always and forever. Not a day has gone by that I do not think of you. The memories are many and i think of new ones each day. Sometimes its hard to get past the sadness of losing you, but am comforted and know I will see you again. You were a blessing to many and the world was a better place because you were in it. When I feel sad I will look outside and see a cardinal or smell the scent of my flowers on the deck, I know its a sign from you that you are still with me. You loved watching the birds and gardening. The lillies I planted for you years ago are starting to bloom. In fact last night when I let the dog out I looked down and they seemed to be "glowing" in the light.
