In loving memory of Clifton Reuben Barrow who sadly passed away on 12th April 2020. Due to the current constraints in place regarding social gatherings, the funeral will be for immediate close family only, but if you have some lovely memories of Clifton that you would like to share please feel free to add them to this page, alternatively you could add photos or even light a candle in his memory.

In respect of Dads wishes of not wanting to have a eulogy, we thought it would be best to provide a small insight into the great life he had lived as a biography.
Dad migrated to the UK in 1961 to be with his elder brother and twin sister. He also continued his pursuit of a young lady he had met at church in Barbados. They married in 1963, later having 3 children.
With his infectious smile, dad was an outgoing and sociable character who loved a good debate and sports (especially cricket). He took pride in his family and work along with being committed to the Lodge.
Ill health affected dads later life, with diabetes, vision loss and mild dementia reducing his abilities. His love for Music and singing never ceased even in the final weeks of his life. Sadly, on Saturday 21st March 2020, dad was admitted to the hospital and unfortunately did not recover to return home.

I knew Rueben for 38 years and have always found him to be a quiet, humble, unassuming man who loved his Cricket. Whenever I would see Rueben he would always give that smile, so warm and welcoming. The last time I saw Rueben was in February this year and I’m incredibly glad that I did. Little did I know this would be the last time I would see him. I am very much saddened by his passing.

You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. You will forever remain in our hearts and in our minds. You will be greatly missed by us, and all who knew you. You are with the angles now, may you rest in everlasting peace

Oceans of love
