I have many happy memories when I was growing up with Uncle Pete and my cousins Nicky and Fran. Always making a joke and having us in stitches laughing. Will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure who knew him x

Uncle Pete was more than an Uncle to me when I was younger. Not only a great laugh, he was my Boss, my Scout master and teacher. I can honestly say there are are skills and knowledge I have and use today because Pete took the time to show me. I can imagine there's some laughs up there with Dad and Grandad now...No socks on Camp Skip! Farewell for now Pete.

On behalf of 1st Gresley Scout Group. I would like to say what a shock it was to here of Peters passing. He was a scout leader and Group Scout leader and gave his time generously to the community he lived in. He will be sadly missed by all who new him. Personally I remember him as our assistant scout leader when I joined scouts age 10. Peter was 20/21. He used to drive at speed to the scout hut in his white Ford escort to the thrill of the scouts and screech into the car park. I was also guard of Honour at Pete and Debbies wedding. Our thoughts to the family at this difficult time.

Peter’s mum is my godmother and my mum’s best friend. Peter and I grew up together and I have many happy memories of those years with, picnics, parties, day trips and holidays in Norfolk when the sun always shone and it was always summer or so it seemed.

The last time I saw Little Peter, as we called him, was in November last year and he was still the same easy going, happy go lucky character . We are so very sad for you all and wish that we could be with you, but of course we are stuck in Guernsey under lockdown.

Our love to you all, Elaine, Peter, Katy and Joanne
