Dad, I am honoured to have called you my Father and Quinn his Papa! I’ll miss your sense of humour and dodgy Dad jokes! Mostly I’ll miss talking to you and spending time with you. I am so proud of you!
Until I hold your hand and hug you, Lizzie, Paul and Quinny xxx

  • Lovely, lovely words Lizzie. As was the poem to write for Dad's service. Dad was proud of you; proud of all his children, the paths you all chose, the partners you all chose and of course the beautiful grandchildren you all gave us. Xx

  • Dear lovely family. Life is unfair and wicked but we can't change what's happened or even learn from it. We wanted more but we have to accept that we couldn't have more. Parkinson's took that away from Dave and us. But, for the most part, what we we did have was so, so, so much the best of Dave before Parkinson's started to take its hold and that's what we must remember. What you all need to know is that you were with Dave all the way. Loving him. Laughing with him. Looking out for and always supporting him. We have a long road ahead and we are all hurting but we must try to remember Dave at his best .... and at his best, it was always his ability to see humour in most situations .... that and the beautiful smile and wicked grin. With love my darlings. Doll xx

So proud of you Dad. Proud of how much you have done for us all over the years. Proud of how much you loved us all. Proud of the memories. None of this will change. We will all miss you so much, James, Lisa, Daniel, Jonathan & Abbie x x x x x

  • Dad was so proud of you too - more than you'll ever know. He loved each and every one of you totally, wholly and without reserve. Dad loved the life you made with Lisa, Daniel, Jonathan & Abbie and seeing you all happy made Dad happy. Memories as you said, will not change. They will continue to be made because that is life but think of the new memories as something that not only you'll cherish, but know also that Dad would have cherished too. So bank those for him because he still is and always will remain a huge, huge part of our cherished memories. With all my love to you all, Mum xx

There is no greater pain than losing a loved one. May the memories in your mind and the love in your hearts see you all through this difficult time. Dave was such a fabulous character and friend and will be very much missed by us all.
