My Mum, Sandra sadly passed away on 9th April 2020 following a long illness. She is greatly missed by her sons Shaun and Carl, and her daughter Emma.

Anyone who knew her would know that she was very generous and would always give help where needed. She was very down to earth and at times could be uncomfortably honest but that is why we all loved her because she was always straight with you.

My Mum was very creative and was amazing at sewing and designed and made so many clothes - she taught Emma her daughter how to sew from the age of four which inspired Emma to become a Fashion teacher.

Sandra was very independent and was extremely proud of her family home. She made all the curtains and furnishings, and was excellent at DIY. Her door was always open to friends and family and if you did ever visit her she would always have a cup of coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other (she did eventually give up though) and be ready for a good chat.

She loved her children with so much passion and dedicated her life to them. She made a mean roast dinner.

They don't make them like her anymore and her passing is definitely the end of an era.

May she truly rest in peace, until we meet again.

Love you more than all the tea in China and all the coffee in Brazil Mum. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

Lots of Love, Emma xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Thank you Jae, I did actually think of you and how you were always there to help my Mum on Ox ward and wondered how to let you know my Mum had passed away. Thank you for always helping her and having a lovely smile for her. Emma x

  • My Mum made very flamboyant, creative cakes when I was little - here is the Fairy Castle cake. Wow! I was the envy of every little girl that day. x
