Jon Pain donated £50 in memory of Leonard

To my Head Teacher at Instow County Primary School and colleague to my mum, Barbara Pain who also taught at the school under Mr Husband.

Fond memories of an inspirational person who certainly imparted the wisdom to shape my life and a colleague that my mum looked up to.

Rest in Peace.

  • Dear Len I only knew you for the last 15 years of your wonderful life but you were a really smashing man. Thank you for making my Aunties life so special as well. My thoughts are with your family who I know will miss you terribly and with Aunty Sheila who is devastated by your going. Rest in Peace Janine and Peter.

Then came students in classrooms and tourists drowning at sea before finally moving onto children, grandchildren and great grandchildren including me! Time to stop chasing and relax, well maybe just one last whiskey chaser to go! Miss you, lots of love.

my Grandad, Len Husband started life chasing carts for a lift to town, then moved on to chasing opposition on the ruby pitch, next up came Peggy Miller, closely followed by enemy soldiers form a speed boat, and back to Peggy.

To the most amazing Grandfather anyone could ask for, who instilled the importance of family in me. He supported me in everything I did even when I made the wrong decisions!! We are lucky to have had him for so long. Gave us wheel Barrow rides, had a superb sense of humour and meant so much to us all. We will miss him more than words can express. All or love Anna, Simon Harriet and Emily. Rest in peace xxxx

This is one of the most precious things Grandad gave me with all the love guidance and strength he gave over the years. This book mark was in the book and I felt the words were very apt and he certainly made his mark in the world. Love and Thanks Anna xx
