I've fond memories of you working for my late father's business, I have known you most of my life, in fact when I was a small child I used to come through from the house into the office where you worked and spend time sat with you. In fact you taught me how to tell the time which no one else could do and when I was older and building my haulage business, although still working for father you still took messages for me and helped along the way and when I was about to go into hospital to have my first hip replacement you reassured me and told me something that I have never forgotten, to look forward to what we have in life and not to dwell on what we've lost, these words were very wise and very true.

I am humbled to have known you and you will be sadly missed by work colleagues and friends. Rest in peace.

I was very sad to hear the news that Pat has passed away. She always had a smile for me each time I visited the office at J Bascombe's where she worked. She will be sadly missed

Dearest Pat, a lovely lady.
Can't believe that I had the privilege of knowing you for some 50yrs first at Three Cross Garage when you worked on the fuel pumps, then for 45yrs when you worked for our family business J.Bascombe Contractors Ltd.
It was with much sadness and a great loss to the company when you were forced to give up work a couple of years ago, we all missed your cheery smile and the knowledge that you kept stored in your head,unbelievable.
