A fond farewell to John Yanzu who, at 40yrs old, sadly passed away at Queens Hospital on 2nd March 2020 with his loving wife at his side.
Soul mate of Beata, devoted father to Eunice jr, Natashia and Antek.
Adored son of Stephen Morkeh and Mary Yanzu.
Beloved brother to Eunice, Victoria, Joseph, Samuel, Dorcas and Stephen Abekah Yanzu.
A sadly missed brother in law, uncle and nephew.
A valued member of the family to his cousins, nieces and relatives.
A cherished and loyal friend to many.
He will be sorely missed by his local Horninglow congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
John was an incredibly kind and warm hearted individual. A true Gentleman, who faced his last journey with courage, dignity and grace.
John had a strong belief in the resurrection hope. He knows that he will be back again with his family and friends in paradise which is just around the corner.

Acts 24:15
‘And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous’

Revelations 21:4
‘And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’

Please note that there will not be a gathering after the service on Saturday as originally planned. There will be a memorial service and gathering to celebrate John's life which will be organised at a later date.

I can’t & won’t ever forget you. When I worked on the ‘abco’ in takeoff at Kerry Foods we would argue viciously like cats and dogs - every shift. Now I look back and those conflicts were petty and insignificant. Missu brother. Rest in peace Mr John Yanzu

John may soul rest in peace and my sincere condolences go to your Wife, children and family. He was my class mates and he always makes me laugh at class. He ways come to class with some sandals with red socks just to put smile on our face. I am in London and we get connected again through our old school WhatsApp group. I was so happy to get in touch with him again. John and his best friends called Elvis we decided to meet up and have fun but we could not meet, John told he had to go back to Birmingham so next when he comes to London we meet, He sometimes calls me we talk about school things we laughed. In few months l don't hear from him on phone anymore and to hear on the 3 March that he passed away. I could not believe it until l saw the links on platforms. I am going to miss him so much.
My friend rest in peace ✌️
God bless your family. 🙏 🙏
