In loving memory of the late Fun Morris (Winifred Tsiu-Fun Morris), who sadly passed away on the 15th of April, 2015.

For those who knew Fun, you’ll know that words can only do so much to describe the incredibly inviting presence that she was. Throughout her life she always had open arms, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, direct yet meaningful advice, undivided love and care, and last but not least, plenty of food.

Fun stormed through life with pride, dignity and courageous mindfulness – all to incomparable standards – both in her personal and professional life. Not only was she a wife, she was also a mother, a daughter, a sister and a friend to many.

The eldest of four siblings, she played an important role in the upbringing of her brothers and cousins. She studied to become a solicitor from an early age, and during her time at college she met and fell in love with Patrick – whom she would eventually marry and spend the rest of her life with. Together they had two wonderful boys – Kjellon and Logan. Her love of cooking and baking always came second to the love and care of her family.

As much as this page is here in memory of Fun, it is also a place to remind us of what a brilliant, wonderful and loving person she was. She will be missed eternally, but her love, her grace and her legacy will shine on through all of us, forever.

In honour of Fun, a life celebration will be held on Monday 11th May at 3pm at Bensham Hall in Thornton Heath.

We respectfully ask that those attending to not wear black but instead dress in a smart casual manner to reflect the day’s purpose: to celebrate the life of our beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend.

I spent a lot of time with you and Patrick over the years. You were good enough to put up with me for a couple of years in your first home in South Norwood and again in Thornton Heath. Patrick and I pretty much grew up together so I guess I knew him better than anyone before we all met at college. That is until you came along! In all honesty, I always thought that Pat might need some looking after. He was always late and took “laid back” to a new level! You were exactly what he needed in every way. I can honestly say that you brought out the best in Pat. Your strength and kind nature lives on in Patrick and the boys. To see how you all triumphed over such difficult times, how you never gave up, how you always stuck to your principals, how you loved without question – these are the things I will remember you for. Even at the end, in the darkest of days, you were “cheerful-dignity” personified. In all my life I have never known someone who could combine integrity with your unique childish sense of humor that lit up the lives of so many. I wasn’t around much for the last few years – I’m sorry for that. But I can honestly say that there weren’t many days that I didn’t think of you guys at some point. You, and Patrick, became role models for me. In the last few years, when faced with a tricky problem, I often find myself asking “what would they do?” You’ve done more in your life than so many others. You’ve left Patrick stronger than he ever would have been otherwise. Your boys are amazing. You’ve done a great job and you’ll always be in our hearts.

Beloved Udge, You are an inspiration and a mother figure to all of us 'kids'. My fondest memories of my time I shared with you are when you used to take care of us (and even feed me breakfast when I was really young!). You used to take care of us. You introduced me to so much! Mr Motivator, Sally Crawford, Saracen from The Gladiators and blind date...! The list goes on! I particularly remember when I was sick at the take away and you made me feel you cared and important, although I felt as if I didn't deserve that much attention. That is your strength, you are caring and loving to all those who need it.
I want you to know everything will be good for you and everyone here, so don't worry about anything. I'm very sorry I couldn't make it to your funeral service, as I mentioned to you before, it meant a lot to me that I could fly back see you on that Monday evening. Farewell, may your next journey be wonderful! Love from Miwg xxx

Our Sunshine-Bright-Mother-Earth-Wonder-Woman Funski finally lays to rest, she shone her light so brightly in all of our lives - for nearly 30 years of my life and I cherish every second . I haven't really lost my Bestie Fun she has merely shed the body that could no longer hold her vibrant awesome energy. She lives within our hearts and thoughts and through our daily actions we honour her and everything she taught us about love and kindness, compassion and bold as brass fearlessness each day. Her legacy lives on in Patrick and their beautiful sons Kjellon & Logan. We are all committed to reflecting Fun's Loving light back to them and each other so they may grow just as steadfast, strong, resilient, nuturing and FUN-loving as our Funski. Rest in Paradise with eternal Love from Samski
