In loving memory of the late Neale Satterley who sadly passed away on 10th April 2015

Joan Hynd wrote

A moment of quiet reflection, soft voices, muted music and heads all bowed…
Hang on a mo, this isn’t right, this is Neale Satterley, utterly bonkers, funny and loud!
Singing Elvis out of tune at the top of his voice, party animal, life and soul,
Glass in hand, laughter, and excitement over a (rare!) Sunderland goal.

The despair of every parent when up to his daft tricks, but the delight of every child,
Linda saying NEALE! as only she could, totally loved by all, even though he was wild!
Outrageous outfits, ridiculous dancing, acting the fool, but also such a kind, caring man,
Loved his family dearly, and ‘getting down’ with the kids, BBQ king with a beer in a can.

The world a quieter, sadder place, memories of another family legend never growing old,
He will be skiing somewhere with excellent snow, probably still not doing as he’s told!
Sunderland will always win, beer always cold, chatting and laughing with others gone before,
A distant echo of NEALE! producing that mischievous grin and a ‘guilty’ glance at the door.

Life won't be half as much fun without you. love Joan and Andy

We are so privileged. We have shared so much. We have loved and laughed, partied, drunk and danced. We have travelled by boats, planes, coaches and automobiles. We have hit the slopes and skiied until we ached. The memories will never be forgotten. You are forever in our hearts Uncle Neale. With our love now and always. Ali and Georgia. Xx

The famous five will travel no more, last year our time in France with you and Dad will never leave my memory what has happened since September is totally unfair, who ever is up there should stop taking the best first. Keep me a place at the bar with you and DAD , BBQ'S will never be the same as two will be missing. RIP ONSLOW.

Uncle Neale, you have been taken from us far too soon. The world will not be the same without you. But we will be forever grateful to have been blessed with such a funny, caring, life loving uncle who has taught us that life is for living and you certainly lived yours to the full. I will always remember James' birthday party when Linda placed the carefully crafted trifle on the chair and said 'Neale, don't sit down there's a trifle on the chair' to which you promptly plonked your backside straight on top of it. But that was just you, you never did as you were asked & thats what we loved about you, you were the naughty boy in an adult size body! I could actually write a book of all the funny things you did, you always made everyone laugh. Words cannot explain how much you will be missed but I know for certain you will never be forgotten. And I promise you I will go to the Hard Rock Cafe in Frankfurt and have a jäger for you :) thank you for everything you have done for over the years, thank you for letting me have a sneaky sherry when my mum wasn't looking and thank you for permanently making me laugh for the 34 years I was lucky enough to call you my uncle. God bless uncle Neale we love you with all out heart and I will make sure Flynn knows all about you when he grows up. Night night sleep tight til we meet again xxxxxxxxxxxx
