In loving memory of Frances Stanley who sadly passed away on 7th December 2019. A much loved mother of Sharon, Lorraine and the late Tracey. Known as "Granny Fran" to grandchildren Nikki, Alex, Jaz, Kama, Aoife, Fay and an honorary grandmother to many more.....

A resident of Marchfield House, Ferndown - Frances previously resided at St Leonards Farm Park, West Moors and Lone Pine Park, Ferndown.

Frances' twinkly eyes, friendly nature and soft Irish lilt will be missed by all her friends and family. Locals may remember her from the 50+ Club at Ferndown leisure centre; and St Mary's church choir, where she was a member for many years. Previously hosting a table at "Fill the Gap" lunches at St Mary's, and working at Cloisters coffee shop in Wimborne, her skills in plate carrying were often a sight to behold.

In recent years Frances was a regular attendee at the Salvation Army church in Winton, at which the UK part of her international funeral will be held. She will then be flown back to Ireland to rest in peace with her beloved husband Tom.

I first met Frances whilst working together at the same company. We enjoyed many happy times together also being godmother to her first child Sharon. She was always great fun to be with,,John and I together with our son and daughter enjoyed staying with her Tom and the family in Ireland, then holidaying in England with us.. Although many miles apart we kept
in touch by letter and long telephone conversations. Frances was my best friend for over 60 years and will be sadly missed.

So many good memories of our long friendship where do you start. Our times at the
keep fit classes and weekends away at Torquay our Christmas get togethers and our
trips out. Your wicked sense of humour and the endless games of dominoes played over
the last few years dear Frances how we will miss you. Good memories and a friendship
never forgotten.
