Albert Edward Collen (22 Jul 1921 - 23 Dec 2019)

In loving memory of Albert Edward Collen who sadly passed away on 23rd December 2019. Beloved husband of Eileen, father of Janet, Jean, Richard and Julia also Andrew & Peter both deceased, grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of seven. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

Donations can be made to Money Advice Plus, via donation direct to Stoneman Funeral Service, it is an independent charity giving free debt and benefit advice to those most in need. They also offer long term support to the most vulnerable in Brighton and Hove who have mental and physical ill health and/or have suffered financial abuse. They keep their money safe, pay their bills and provide a cash delivery service for those unable to access cash. The service provides an essential lifeline, enabling people to remain in their own homes rather than having to go into care.

Albert’s daughter Julia works for the charity. He has always been very supportive of her work and the people that she was able to help. The family feel that any donations, gratefully received, will be a fitting tribute to his legacy.
