In loving memory of Stuart Jones who sadly passed away on 25th July 2019

Stuart was born in Harlow on 16th September 1971 to pat and Jim.
He has an older sister Debbie and younger brothers Michael and Gordon.
He spent his early years in Portsmouth where dad Jim was serving in the Royal Navy.
At aged 5 the family moved back to Harlow. He grew up on the Red Willow estate.
He followed in his fathers footsteps and joined the Royal Navy in 1991.
He was a marine engineer mechanic serving on HMS Birmingham, HMS Exeter and the HMS Nottingham.
He was known to many as “Jonah, Ratboy and Stuart douche boy jones.
He served just shy of 15 years but had to end his service due to dupuytren contracture in his hands and feet.
He always spoke fondly about his time in the navy and shared many stories. Obviously the clean ones!
He lived with his parents and was a hands on uncle to his niece and nephew Cora and Bradley who he loved dearly.
He also looked after his brothers dogs.

A brief outlook of his short life.
Loved and missed by so many ❤️

Farewell Stuart, old shipmate! I’ll not forget those early Royal Navy days on HMS Exeter; your runs ashore, verbal battles with the Chief Stoker and messdeck banter with “I’m from ‘ounslow” accent! You were a great character for sure!

So long “Ratboy” ! I’m glad I got to know you all those years ago.
