Robert Philip Burton (26 Apr 1929 - 13 Jun 2019)

In loving memory of Robert Philip Burton who sadly passed away on 13th June 2019 at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. "Bob " was 90 years of age in April this year and up until December 2018 was still active and totally independent along with his wife Jeanette Burton 88 years.
Bob was a retired miner working most of his career at Pleasley colliery . Born in Lincoln, Bob moved to New Houghton at a young age where he met his life long love Jeanette.
Bob was the father of four children , Heather , Stephen , Kim and Robert. He was a grandfather and great grandfather.
Bob was a keen motorcyclist and attended the TT races Isle of Man for many years, and latterly to go golfing and relaxing.
Bob was interested in sport in general and also played golf a Tapton golf course for many years. A gifted DIY person who could mend build or just about figure out anything .
Bob will be greatly missed by his family friends and anyone that knew him.
The funeral will take place at St Michaels Church Pleasley with burial at Shirebrook followed by a wake at the miners Welfare , Pleaseley.
