Mike carried out the funerals for both my parents, and was a profoundly warm and reassuring presence throughout both the expected death of Ken and the shock of Viv's. He was a friend to them both in life and death. I recall he arrived within half an hour of me phoning him, the morning I found Viv, and added some stability to the worst days of my life. I'm ashamed to have not thought of him recently and deeply saddened to discover, months afterwards, that he passed.

All my best - Dave Dexter

MIKE – What a life!
So many helped, encouraged and saved in so many ways, often unseen.
An energy that was extraordinary, a strong man, highly skilled and knowledgeable in so many different areas. A one off! and the best friend ever. Mike – he was ‘THERE’ for anyone who needed help or was in need. Loved and missed, memories are forever.
Tricky sometimes, with the best of intentions, but ask with a problem and he nearly always had the answer and empathy in loads.
Sailing – what he didn’t know about sailing could be written on a 5P piece. But still when sailing he always referred to his best friend Paul Kent although he knew quite well what to do.
His voice with its Cornish edge and laugh that could be heard miles off was great. He really enjoyed a good laugh with his friends and I have never known anyone with so many friends.

Now he is another star in the sky.
Loved and missed by family and friends forever.
Olga
