I loved going to Henley Road with my Mum and sister Joan when I was a child, I have vivid memories of wild anarchy at bedtime with the cousins! We stayed at Henley Road when Pete got married in 1966 (the venerable G’ma and G’dad were there too, how did Auntie Peg manage us all?!) the adults were talking about the recent Aberfan disaster, the younger Denneys discussed Good Vibrations which had just been released and then Pete became the first person I ever heard say the words “Muddy Waters” - the teenage me thought it was so cool to have such a hip, sharp-dressing older cousin like him.
