In loving memory of John Lang who sadly passed away on 20th February 2019. John was born on 5th January 1938. He was one of five children. He married Janette in 1961. They had 3 children Jane, John and David. John worked as an accountant and subpostmaster. He was a rugby player and fan from a young age. He also enjoyed golf and became a member of Weirs Bowling Club where he was an active member and Treasurer. He had a great love for his family. He was devastated when Janette passed away in 2011. He was a true gentleman with the kindest heart. And a great sense of humour. He endured many procedures over the past few years with courage and strength and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a wonderful father in law to Iain, Caron and the late Anne. He had 4 grandchildren Paul, Carly, Fiona and Amy whom he loved dearly and their partners Natalie, Bryan and Jamie. He was also pleased to welcome Shirley into the family. He was very excited to welcome his first great grandchild Brody born on the 28th November 2018.
He will be greatly missed by all especially his loving family. RIP Dad and Papa xxx β€πŸ’”β€

So my ears get a rest then? No more β€œI’m a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists lol. I’d gladly listen to that daily if I could. Already miss our lunches/dinners in Wetherspoons and forever will. Rest in peace my rock. The kindest most generous man any person could ever have in their life never mind being my Dad.
