Dorothy Smith (1 Nov 1924 - 17 Jan 2019)

"Miss me but let me go" In loving memory of Dorothy (Dot) Smith who left us on 17th January 2019 in The Royal Derby Hospital aged 94 years. Precious memories of her will be cherished by her two sons, their families and the wider family together with friends and neighbours. A lively, laughing lady who loved and was much loved. She was always ready to try new things and have fun until, in the last twelve years of her life, dementia took an increasing hold.
Our special thanks to the staff at Ladywood Nursing Home for caring so well during her last three years. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Bramcote Crematorium on Tuesday 12 February at 12:00. The family will provide flowers but your donations to the Alzheimers Society would be welcomed at the service or on-line at this site.
