In loving memory of Leonard Richard Mees who sadly passed away on Sunday 1st February 2015 at home from a heart attack.

As a family, we are absolutely devastated. He meant everything to us and was a wonderful man.

He was 74years old, but was still working the night before his death. He built up an Electrical business with little money, with Evelyn (his beloved wife) by his side and through sheer hard-work and determination made it a success; This year it is 50 years old!
He was well respected within his industry and was a member of Rotary.

He leaves wife, Evelyn; Daughter, Carolyn: Grandchildren, Laura and Ethan. He thought the absolute world of his family and when he wasn't at work, he spent his spare time with them and especially enjoyed being with the grandchildren. Laura is 18years this year and becoming independent, but still loves 'family time'. Ethan always looked forward to his Friday night with grandad, where they'd be messing about with something Electronic and Ethan would be telling grandad how it's all done!!! Every Sunday we'd all eat together and that was the best day of the week:)

He also leaves a sister, Pam and brother, Norman, who are also missing him terribly. Both live close by and he loved seeing Pam whenever he could and enjoyed his weekly (twice weekly) pint with Norman.

We have had hundred's of cards and have been overwhelmed with love for him. He truly was one of the 'good-guys', a true gentleman, who's wonderful traits are never-ending.

On a last personal note, I'd like to say to my wonderful dad - I LOVE YOU, I MISS YOU and THANKYOU for the privilege of being your daughter, I am so, so proud to be Len Mees's daughter.

God bless, Sleep well X

I can still remember when I had my 11th birthday with him as my Grandad and now I am 12, which I didn't have him on that birthday. I still miss him very much!

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Len for whom we have extremely fond memories. When we moved to Bingham back in June 1986, on our first evening Len delivered a TV and Video. Having not met us before, he left the items saying that it was best to buy the TV and rent the video and to go in to the shop on the following Saturday to sort it all out. That was how Len was, always providing impartial advice. Over the years we have made many purchases, the larger of which were personally delivered by Len and he enjoyed a cup of coffee, which later on was replaced by a glass of wine and longer visits. Always great company, Len is fondly remembered by both of us.

to evelyn and family. I am so sorry this message is so late but I needed to express my sadness at Len's passing. I and my late wife Josephine moved to Bingham in 1987 where upon we needed many electrical items for our new home. Len gave us all the advice and help we could wish for and soon we had everything needed. Len and I got on very well and shared a similar sense of humour and I am so sad that such a lovely man has left us before his time.

When we first moved to Bingham in 1986, Len kindly came round to demonstrate how to use our first video recorder! A true gentleman, very kind and patient. Condolences to the family, we were very sad to hear the news. Very best wishes.
