In loving memory of Kare Bleathman who sadly passed away on 30th November 2018.
A life well lived, Kate's early years were marred by the Second World War, her home city of Cologne heavily bombed during the conflict. Having met her handsome British soldier she found herself in Uganda, running a transport company providing services across East Africa from Kenya to the Belgian Congo. Working hard and playing hard Kate and Dougie rubbed shoulders with ambassadors, anthropologists and film stars before returning to the UK in the 60's. More friends were made at Runfold Post Office who we still hold in our hearts today. A well-earned retirement in Devon awaited, and many happy years spent relaxing with friends, family and the ever present dog. Upon becoming a widow Kate returned to Surrey to be close to family, and was enveloped into the daughter's house and home in Norfolk for her final years surrounded by dogs, hens and love.
