Paul has known Tony since he was in his early twenties, when, as a small boy, he would go shopping with his Mum to buy the daily bread. Little did he know that Tony would become our brother in law in later years. Lovely gentleman who will be sadly missed. RIP Tony. Paul & Barbara

My memory of Tony and the Sands family started as a teenager, when I use to go and fetch Grandma Doris's bread for her in the school holidays and remembering the smell and taste of great homemade bread.

My fonder memories came a few years later when I worked for Dunmores Butchers. Tony use to come and pick up fresh cooked ham everyday to put in the shops sandwiches. Then on a Tuesday he use to bring me freshly made Puff Pastry, which I made into sausage rolls and eccles cakes among other things.

Great Memories of local business working together and friendships built that have lasted a long time. I will always remember Tony driving the bus on a Saturday for the Nottingham Forest Fans to go and see their club play their football matches. A great man with a big heart.

Good night Tony, sleep well.x

My heart goes out to the Sands family, he was such a true gentlemen and one of the greatest men I've had the pleasure knowing. R.I.P Tony, go and have a beer or two and a game of snooker with dad in that white pearly place. xxx
