Over the next few weeks, we wanted to give everyone that knew and loved Brian an opportunity to share a memory, story or photograph with us at this very difficult time, leading up to the funeral. Although it has been difficult to process, we want to celebrate Brian's life and honour his effervescent personality, and remember him in a way that he would have wanted. His laughter could fill a room and just one hug from him could make the darkest day seem sunny again. Let us all learn from him, and live life to the fullest, do the things we love, and love the things we do.
The service will be held at Sacred Heart church on Edge Hill, commencing at 9am.
The burial will take place at 11am at Merton and Sutton Joint Cemetery. Please be sure to check the location before as this is directly next door to the crematorium and easy to confuse.
The wake will commence directly after the burial at the Wimbledon Park Golf Club - Home Park Rd, Wimbledon, London SW19 7HR. - If you need a lift after the service to the burial or wake please let us know.
If you wish to send flowers, they must be with the funeral directors Alan Greenwood's in North Cheam by 4pm on Friday 31st. (-Potentially keep in mind that they will be kept over the weekend when choosing your flowers.)

Mark and I were so happy to reconnect with Brian this year, although under sad circumstances. We had a wonderful time laughing with him and catching up. He was the same "Mauritian dish" that I remembered. The happiest personality and a joy to be around. Brian and I kept in touch via facebook and when I read his last message to me it said, "Catch up again soon, take care, love to Mark and the family xxx." A very heartwarming message for me to keep in my heart. Our love goes out to you and your entire family. The Burchells xxx

Not many people can light up a room with a smile on their face at all times but Brian was an exception. Always happy and fun and fantastic company. We will always cherish the memories of many a great weekend away or night out. Brian you will be greatly missed. Xx

There are not many people who always have a smile on their face but Brian was a true exception. We have had the privilege of knowing and socialising with such a warm and kind hearted man. We've had the pleasure to know Brian for some time now. Whenever he was in the area we would always make that extra effort to see both him and Anne. A personality to light up the room, always smiling - Just two of the many reasons that made him such a loved person to all that knew him. We will miss you dearly my friend - I'll learn to cook Upside down bowl in your memory but not nearly as well as you..
I think one of my first memories of Brian is me chucking his favourite blue metal truck down the stairs at him. But that’s not the reason he let me tag along when he and Pat were getting up to no good, he was just an all round good guy with a mischievous grin and a capacity to come up with madcap ideas. I looked up to him as a kid (not just because he was tall), and still love Private Eye, Asterix and David Bowie because of him. My daughter must have heard the story about how we would queue up to read the latest Asterix every time Brian bought one about a million times. I loved the speed of whizzing round Wimbledon on the back of his bicycle (never allowed to go on the motorbike).
Brian had a facility of telling stories that practically had you rolling on the floor, even if the story was about something stupid YOU had done. You didn’t care.
Since leaving the UK, I haven’t seen cousin Brian as much as I would have liked to. He always seemed to be on some fab holiday whenever we were over.
So in memory of you Brian, my little family will continue to laugh, continue to get into silly scrapes, travel loads, live life to the full and we’ve even got a basement full of bikes now. It was a privilege to be part of your life. You’re gone too soon.

The first time I brought Inès to London, Brian and Anne popped by to see the little sausage. She's tripled in size now and obviously has the tall genes too.

A trip to Loch Lomund in Scotland!! We towed the jet-ski all the way from London and at 11pm Brian out the wrong fuel in his van and we were stranded!! We made it to the lake the next day and this was a spot where we stopped for a picnic!
