Dr Kousalya Lakshman sadly passed away peacefully at home on 25th July 2018.
Born in Bangalore, India, she graduated Mysore Medical College and embarked on a surgical career. After her marriage to Dr J.C Lakshman in 1966 and arrival of first child in 1967 she switched careers to Pediatrics. Emigrated to UK in 1968, and lived in the North East, having her second child in South Shields in 1969. She became a general practitioner and retired at age 60. After retirement she continued to play carom, enjoyed travelling the world, white water rafting in Canada in her sixties and riding disney rides (test track) in her 70s. She played scrabble and enjoyed lawn bowling. She will be sorely missed by all her friends and family.

Survived by her beloved husband (J.C.Lakshman) and two children (Radhika and Venkatesh) and grandson (Sachin)

The Hindu rituals will take place in Strood on August 14th.

The celebration of life service will take place on

Wednesday 15thAugust 2018 from 3pm at:

The Garden of England Crematorium,

Sheppey Way, Bobbing,

Near Sittingbourne, ME9 8GZ, Kent

Arrangements:

Mourners who drive their own cars can follow the hearse from outside 4 Waltham Road, Gillingham, Kent ME8 6XQ at 2.20pm or meet us at the Crematorium.

We anticipate it being hot, so jackets optional and ties not required. Dark colours not necessary. The crematorium itself is air-conditioned.
