In loving memory of Sheila Shaw who sadly passed away on Friday 13th July 2018.
While in Willow Court Nursing Home, she suffered another stroke which finally took her from us.

Sheila was born on 25 June 1938 to parents Sidney & Freda(Nee Warmsley) Spikings at Boston, Lincolnshire.
Her pre-school days were spent in the Boston area. Her parents moved to Skegness were they ran a B&B.
When not at school Sheila would help out. Ending the love affair with B&B the family moved on to Winthorpe.
Sheila finished her schooling and went to work as a shop assistant. Ending up in F W Woolworths on the sweetie counter.
Tiring with Skegness she went to work with NAAFI and became a 3 Star Gaffer.

I met up with her around July/August 1971 at Pirbright, Surrey and we married in April 1973 in Guildford.
Me being in the Army we moved about, living in Eton, Wool in Dorset and Wareham then onto civilian life.

The last 30 odd years we have been static in Lincoln. Life was good for both of us. I took early retirement in 1996.
Some 8 years later Sheila's world collapsed when she suffered a debilitating Stroke in March 2004 which left her with little or no use of her left side. Over the years Sheila's condition gradually deteriorated leaving her virtually bedridden.

She moved into Cherry Willingham Nursing Home on 21 December 2017 and I visited on a regular basis twice daily.
Helping with her needs etc.
Her communication suffered along with her well being and sadly in the morning of Friday 13th July 2018 she passed away. (Cerebral Vascular Disease).

Sheila is survived by myself (Mike Shaw), sons Gary and Steven, 9 Grandchildren and at present some 9 Great Grand Children.
