Sheelagh - I think of you whenever I hear about Scotland on the TV or Radio, I plan to visit Glasgow again for the new year, it was a shame we didn't get to know each other as well as we could, but I remember you fondly, from our days at S2A.

In the last three years since you left us a whole lot has changed for your loved ones, every single day we remember your family and the beautiful memories that we shared.

You’ll forever be in our hearts, iit’ll always be my biggest regret that I couldn’t be there for you in your time if need just like you were there for me.

You always reminded me of my mum, a cheeky Scottish woman with a heart of gold, god bless you Sheelagh.

Sheelagh - I haven’t seen you since 2017 when I left skills to achieve, You and I always heard what I thought was the special relationship and is it only today that I learn as you’re passing. I’ve no idea how you left us at such an untimely age but know that you’ll always be remembered for the kindhearted person you always were.

With love from everyone at skills to achieve

  • This is Sheelagh’s husband Ben. Her MS continued to be a complication in our lives, one which ultimately triggered a recurrence of a childhood tumour in her brain. She fought hard but lost the fight in June 2018. I thank you for your kind words - I sorely miss her every day but I know how many lives she effected in her time and I couldn’t be more proud of her.

  • Ben, thank you so much for your reply. I remember visiting Inverness in Early 2017, and Sheelagh told me so much about Scotland, she was a proud ScotsWoman, she must've been very private about her health as none of the S2A students knew the health battles she was dealing with on a daily basis Thinking back now, I remember her mobility struggles, and as I've seen MS in relatives it's an awful thing to live with, but of course I never said anything, she seemed to be coping with it really well, and now, three years later, it's so nice to see her being remembered for who she was. She's left a legacy, and a positivie impact at everyone who attended S2A All my best, James

  • So pleased to know she'd that tumor as a child, and lived a full and happy 43 years
