We miss you and your catchphrases - won’t repeat them here xxx
Sidney Lewis Ottey (25 Mar 1940 - 30 May 2018)
In loving memory of Sidney Lewis Ottey who sadly passed away on 30th May 2018. Sidney was born in India as his father worked in the goldmines and his mother was from an army family. He himself enlisted in the Royal Engineers but was medically discharged having been wounded in action in Oman and then found to have TB. Over the years he worked in the building and transport areas . He married Carol Mander and they had 2 daughters, Shona and Cheryl. Both Carol and Sid were competitive fencers and that was how they met. In later years that competitive streak went into showing their Komondor dogs. Sid was also a great Jeremy Clarkson fan. On a higher note he was a kind and caring grandfather to his grandchildren from Cheryl and Ed , Amelia, Isabella, Byron and Lawrence and will be sadly missed by the grandchild to be due to Shona and Richard.
