In loving memory of Jeffrey Peirce who passed away tragically on Sunday 4th March 2018.

He will be remembered by his family and friends. He was one of the founding members of SOMA Housing Co-operative Ltd and was known for his knowledge of welfare rights, claiming state benefits and housing rights and law. Jeff had a long life of supporting the under dog, diligently using his ability to decipher legal jargon and lengthy documents for the benefit of others who were less fortunate. More recently, Jeff learned coding for the web and continuously developed his skills. Jeff was well loved and his contributions very much appreciated by everyone who knew him.

His funeral will be held at South Oxfordshire Crematorium on Friday 16th March 2018 at 4 PM.

No flowers please but donations to Crisis or Oxfordshire Mind would be welcome.

I met Jeff in Oxford in the mid 80's and shared many of his spiritual beliefs as well as his political outlook. He was a close friend and very much a community minded person. Many people who knew him and will miss him dearly, I know that I will.

  • Nearly two years ago now, I can still say truthfully that you,Jeff, are the most sound- minded , moral, wonderful person I have ever known- and a great music mind too. I am treasuring your records & graphic novels..& all our things from storage ...But I still need you to be here. (Apologies to other readers for writing to Jeff here- it just helps) We said goodbye so well- my last memory is of giving a huge sudden hug,and Jeff's happy ' Ooof!' Thank you for you,Jeff xxx

  • Sorry to use this forum to ask,but I have no idea of how to contact anyone who might have rare photo of Jeff,as he tended to avoid the camera...I only have a paper printout of 1 picture; I'd really appreciate it if anyone could send me a real photo? Thank you for looking & remembering two years later, anyone who reads this!
