Trevor was a London lad, born and raised in Hammersmith during the late 40's and 50's.
He was the oldest of two sons, to Lesley & Joanna Abbott. (And probably the most naughtiest).
He was a talented artist and enjoyed nothing more than being the heart and soul of any party. (Most people will have a story or two to tell of his impressions and ability to inject happiness and laughter into everyones hearts).
For most of his working life, Trevor committed his heart and sole into The Metropolitan Police service, serving over 30 years to his profession at New Scotland Yard.
He was a devoted father to myself and a very loyal friend to all.

Trevor served well on the committee of The Laurels for many years. We personally found him to be most friendly and willing to chat.

Worked with Trevor for many years at New Scotland Yard until the day he retired. Had many laughs together, even managed to fit in a bit of work! Will always remember Trevor's Retirement speech at NSY, we got his full repertoire, jokes, impersonations, anecdotes, the works and he did love an audience - it was the longest Retirement speech I have heard and still is. A good friend, good laugh and will be missed.......Cheers mate

When we first moved to the UK 11 years ago, like any newcomers, settling down and understanding the the surroundings was not that easy. Trevor was on the to of the people who made that really easy. Being neighbours for 8 years carried a very nice memories and made me think, when I look back, how kind and helpful Trevor was. We are really grateful for his help. I can’t stop thinking how loud we laughed one evening before 2015 Xmas, when we gathered at our new place. He was very funny and caring person. All of us -especially the kids- loved Trevor. It was very disturbing to them to hear the bad news. RIP our friend.. Murad, Hazar and the kids…

We didn’t know Trevor very well but what we did know was he was a great father to Patsy and a good father in law to Aaron.
Going to miss Trevor’s impersonation of Billy Connolly it was second to none.
He will be deeply missed, R.I.P Trevor

I was one of Trevor's neighbours for 20 years. Trevor was one of the most helpful and caring people I have known. He always had time for others. He will certainly be missed as one of the Laurel's residents.
