The time has come to finally say goodbye to what can only be described at a pure genius of a man in my friend David Webb.

My friendship with David started way back in 1985, he was 7 years old and I was 10 years old. We moved into Kenilworth Road in Cadoxton in the summer of 1985 and “Little David” & “Big David” were the first 2 people who I became friends with in the street. We all had many great times as children playing mob, duck eggs, rat-a tat-ginger in the street and playing football up Cadoxton park.

As we all grew up our paths all took us on different directions in our lives. David ended up meeting Adele and moved away from Barry for many years. We always remained in contact but this was not as often as I would have liked reflecting back now. David finally returned back to Cadoxton into his family home with his own family and I could see he was very happy with his life.
He was a devoted family man and a very good friend to many people. David cared about everything and everyone that came into his life. He never spoke ill of anyone and was always a very positive person in his outlook in life.

He achieved so much in such a short time with us all. I used to speak at length about his work and what he was doing, creating, helping people all over the world.
David was a genius......... quite possibly the most gifted human being I have ever had the pleasure of calling my friend. His knowledge in his chosen profession ( Computer Science ) was in my opinion unmatched by anyone, he really was head and shoulders above anybody out there. David was destine to very great things in this field of expertise and will be missed by all his work colleagues.

David always fully supported me in my own adventure with my catering business. He single handedly set up my website for my business, he created all my Christmas menus and all my advertising for my business. He helped me in so many ways and I could never show him or repay him for all his efforts. I used to tell him this all the time but he wanted nothing from me apart from me to show him it was working and growing which I can say with great pride that it is all thanks to David's efforts and support behind the scenes. At least I have the satisfaction in knowing that David saw this first hand on many occasions when he came over with his family for lunch on Sundays. ( Oh and by the way Dave...... They redecorated the room as you rightly pointed out to me my friend )

I had the pleasure of spending a week with David and my brother ( Royston ) in France 2 weeks before he passed away. We all had the best time whilst over there, the weather was kind to us. We all enjoyed the usual jokes,, usually always at David's expense ( David was a genius but lacked some basic common sense much to our enjoyment ) David always took this in good faith and always laughed both with us and at himself. My brother used to always say David was an idiot !!! to which I agree, he was OUR IDIOT and we loved him for this.

David we all loved you with all our hearts, you will be missed each and everyday by everyone that came into your life. Rest in piece my friend and keep on being that idiot............ x x x

David was an important part of our close family. He was quiet in comparison to some of our noisier family members but when we did our Christmas quiz, he gave as good as the rest. He loved the quiz and was a very valuable asset on a team as he was very knowledgeable. He may have been quiet but he was a strong and determined character and worked hard to get his degree, whilst working full time, so that he could support his family. David will be greatly missed by us all and he will never be forgotten. This world needs more people like David. Adele, Elise and Luke your husband and Dad was one of the best. We loved him dearly. My heart goes out to all Davids family for their sad loss.. I knew David more as a boy and I often thought how his life was, and hoped he was happy as I understand he was. He was my page boy when he was little and I have always thought about him and hoped that he did well. I know he had a loving family Wife and children and they will miss him greatly.
