Pauline to the most loving, kind hearted person that just happened to cross my path with a bit of Devine intervention and some outside help particularly from Jean
Palmer the pastors wife with lots of praying and with a little matchmaking from a few others as well two became one.
In the time before we officially got together. We shared days out, Church activities,Chessington world of adventure,Thorpe park or a cheeky burger after church cheers, Friday night youth group thanks to Pete & Sarah.
Sunday lunches with the people that meant the world to her, Aunties,Uncles,Grandparents,close friends or just chilling out spending many a late night talking about our Mothers,Patricia and Maureen, playing board games,listening to music,sharing our thoughts and common interests,the hurts, the sad times,the good times and the little things that mattered to her.
We married in May 1996 21 years ago in that time I got to know that cheeky smile, the one that said a thousand words, or that look in her eye, Pauline and I had a inner under standing, we could read each other like a book, the love for each other shone through our relationship in the past five years people would say "how do you have the strength to carry on" Our faith a strong belief in our saviour Jesus, our rock our firm foundation in him all things are possible,actions speak louder then words this is our strength our well being our shining light.
Pauline had the chance to spread her wings, to travel, just the two of us at first, enjoying life and growing as a couple, with our first adventure being our honeymoon to Jersey, soon followed by a trip to Canada, spending time with her uncle Rod and his family, a change from the large group holidays in her younger days the likes of Pontins or Butlins where she was always on hand to help and care for others, this was her heart, always looking out for someone else either at work or at home with Auntie Dot,Doll or Uncle Pete, at 21 without a second thought or hesitation looking out for her younger brother Phillip or her sister Sue while dealing with the loss of there mother.
Now it was her turn it was her time to be cared for.
With the arrival of our first born Benjamin, Pauline took on a new role, one that she relished in, filling every moment with love and affection, this was closely followed by Hannah, she embraced the challenge with open arms,her life now being complete with two wonderful children.
We as a family enjoyed to travel and explore, broadening our horizons not just hi-de-hi style holiday parks,camping and later on with our own caravan the English countryside took on a new appeal.
Travelling further afield, with a return visit to Jersey, an impromptu self catering visit to Malaga, this bringing out a new side to Pauline, this challenged her outside of the box. enjoying every moment of this new adventure, we deceided we would take a cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean,Pauline loved going to bed and waking up in a new country, this excited the inner little girl,
With eager anticipation on our return thoughts, turned towards planning our next adventure, where shall we go what shall do, busily planning our holiday maybe a cruise, how about Iceland,America,a safari this would be the question she often asked while watching television,inspiration for a new adventures,a distant horizon a far away land, and a ever growing bucket list, our inspirations,our hope and dreams, a moment in time, gone for ever, just the memories remain.
And finally to Micheal I thank you for your daughters hand,and to Pauline, rest for your work here is done,till we meet again in glory all my love today and forever more your loving husband Adrian.
