So glad we got to catch up one last time at your golden wedding celebrations. Living in the wilds of Suffolk for the last 40 odd years has meant we've not seen you very often during that period but the memories of my formative years when we were regular visitors to Bramley, even living there for a short while before going to live in Singapore, are still fresh(ish). Recollections of your visits to Ipswich, to our wedding and who can't forget, to our little garden bar at Hatfield Rd. Priceless!
Happy times indeed!
you'll be sorely missed.
RIP Uncle Roy.

The happy times we spent visiting all the family in the area, and even for a short while before we moved to Singapore in the 60's, we lived there with you all.
How can I forget your visit to our little garden bar in Ipswich eleven or twelve years ago.

I have no idea what to say, I miss you so much, so does everyone. You really were the best, nothing ever asked of you was too much and you'd have done anything to make someone happy. I really do hope I'll make you proud and we promise to look after Nan so well for you xxx

When I had my daily paper round in the mornings, if it was raining or I had an extra lot of papers in my bag, he would drive me round Moat Close so I could deliver them. He was also dispatched, on Mums orders, to meet me from the last train if I went out. Also, sat up with me one night when after a night out with my friends and a few too many (!) he didn't want me to be sick and choke on it. Sorry Dad! Xx

Dad, although our relationship wasn't an overt display of love and affection, we would do anything for each other and one thing that you have taught me in recent years is that when life gets tough, you dig in and get on with it. You gave Mum everything you had and you made me so proud by doing that and carrying on with the other things as well. I was also inspired by the way you loved Ross, James and Jake and the thing that hurts me the most is that you won't get to see them grow further. I hope that wherever you are, you have met up with your mum and dad and brothers and sister and everyone else that was close to you that have already left us, you would be so pleased by the messages and kind words that we have received about you, it's just heart-breaking we can't share them with you. We will look after Mum for you now that you've gone and will see you again one day! Paul xxx
