Stella Miriam Read (4 Mar 1924 - 4 Feb 2017)

In loving memory of Stella Miriam Read who sadly passed away on 4th February 2017, aged 92 years. Born Stella Coster in Hammersmith, London in 1924, and after a spell in the Air Force at the end of the second world war she enjoyed a busy career as a photographic colourist as Stella MacMahon, and later as a civil servant. She was mother to Doug MacMahon and married Lewis Read in 2001. He sadly passed away in January 2010. Shortly thereafter she moved to the Rugby area where she enjoyed an active life - U3A and music groups etc. and made many friends. She spent her last 2.5 years at the Red House where she was cared for by very attentive staff. She leaves her son (Doug) and 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
