THOMAS John Elwyn
Formerly of Great Fir, Ottery St Mary, passed away peacefully at Exeter Hospiscare on Sunday August 24th 2014, aged 79 years. Much loved husband of Greta, father of Nicola, Richard, Charlotte and Justine. Funeral Service will be held at the Exeter & Devon Crematorium on September 9th, at 1.00pm in St Paul’s Chapel. Family flowers only please, however, donations in memory of John will be gratefully received for Exeter Hospiscare; these may be left by retiring collection at the service, via online or may be sent c/o

I came to know John as the dear husband of my life-long friend Greta. Although we met only a few times, he always welcomed me with warm and friendly hospitality. A strong memory for me will be of him delighting in his garden and the pleasure it gave others. I am so sad he has gone and for his family's loss.
