How would we describe Chris?

Fun, Loving, Loved, Life and soul of the party...... we could go on!

It was his fun loving attitude towards life that meant he was able to face the outcome of his Stroke with the dignity and humour we all knew and admired for 24 years.

We hope that you will be able to join us in the celebration of his life on the 24th November.

xxxxxx

Chris and I first met at school 57 years ago.
I dont’ know why, but we instantly made a good friendship which has endured all these years.
Although he was born a year after me he was relatively the more mature and worldly wise. So, although he would hate me for saying it in this sense he has always been older than me.
After school we continued to share our lives, despite he being a mod and I was the hippy.
I can still hear Chris’ dad, Bob, telling me to get my hair cut! But despite our differences our friendship kept going strong . Sometimes not so close, at other times very close; like when we both lived in the same house. We have shared much and I have many fond memories of our children coming into our lives and growing into people we can be proud of.
I am so sorry I can’t be at Chris’ funeral to celebrate his life and the richness that he brought to all of us, even in later life when his health was not so good.
Chris will always be with me, as a wonderful thread still woven into the fabric of my life.
