I always remember when I went with Philippa to visit him in hospital after his heart attack, must be 35 years ago, and the monitor started going haywire and then I heard him laughing cos he had noticed i couldnt keep my eyes off it and so he messed with the sensor to tease me. Wicked sense of humour! RIP.

We shared so many things via email, then a few years ago I had the chance to actually meet him. So glad I did. His sister Rose, (my mum) said many great things about him and he lived up to every one of them.
