In loving memory of Alfred Polston who sadly passed away on 12th August 2016

Joe Palmer wrote

This is going to seem bizarre . I’m sitting at home and suddenly the name Alfie Polston comes to mind. I then wonder if he is still alive. I look on line and the first hit is his obituary. I scroll down and see the name john and believe this to be the same john polston. who was in spurs squad. I believe that I knew Alfie from schooldays in
Leyton . I was in the year ahead of him at Farmer Red school and possibly Sybourn. My memory of him was he was such an excellent soccer player. In his later teens he played for Leyton Youth probably the best youth side in the borough. Was in his company during this period but only through other friends of his. Last night I have not had a moments peace thinking about him. Slept badly. I am one of those lucky people who know, not from sheer faith, but from experience , that in some way we survive the death of the body. I sincerely believe that I have been a conduit between this life and the next dimension so i understand I will be nagged until I send this message. I’m not a crank. I hope and pray that this message, if it’s read, brings comfort to those who knew and loved him. And bring some peace to me also so I can sleep.
H
