Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there.i do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand and my grave and cry
I am not there , I did not die.

Dave, I haven't seen you for many years, then to read of your passing has left me stunned and saddened.

You were a fantastic guy with a wicked sense of humour and football, could you play. One of best I ever played with and against. I remember our time together as youths in the county side travelling to Peterborough particularly, it was the first time I met you. The first time I saw you play. What a talent. The fact that I could share the same pitch as you playing with the likes of Billy, Lee etc.

What a side, but best of all what a great bunch of lads. Dave RIP you were our champion our captain.

Once upon a time we loved each other, we have laughed, cried and fought like cat and dog. Only you and I could ever know what kept our lives together for so long. Eve is our legacy, and how proud of her we will always be, she loves you and will always carry you in her heart. My heart is sad that we never had the chance to find the friendship that we once had, but know that I always had hope. Rest in eternal peace, I am sure you are watching over us x
