How sad to see Pete’s obituary. By pure chance today whilst watching ch5 re ilfracombe, I wondered how Pete was. I was in boys service with him in the very early sixties. As a fellow West Country man I was understanding but disappointed that he left the army so soon to go home to his beloved Devon. We got on very well and his lovely gentle and measured quiet manner clearly remained with me.
