*Your Memories of Ian (our dad)
Although we knew Dad was unwell, we never imagined we would lose him so soon. Because he was so determined to fight his illness, as his children, it never felt right to ask him to tell us his life story while he was still fighting. There is so much about his life, his experiences and the memories he made with others that we would love to know.
We would be so grateful if you could share any photographs, stories or memories of Dad with us, no matter how big or small. It could be a favourite memory, a funny moment, something he once said, a photograph from years ago, or simply a little thing you remember about him.
We will also have a book of condolences at the funeral, and we would love for people to write their memories in it on the day. If you have photographs or memories you'd like to share beforehand, we hope to print them and keep them in the book, building a collection of memories for our family to treasure.
We know many of Dad's friends live all over the country and may not be able to make it on the day, but we would still love to hear your stories and memories of him, wherever you are.
Every photograph, story and memory will mean the world to us. Thank you for helping us remember Dad and celebrate the life he lived.
*Donations in Ian's Memory
In lieu of flowers, we are welcoming donations to St Giles Hospice and Marie Curie, who provided invaluable care and support to Ian and our family during his final days.
Donations can be made through the links above, or we will have a donations box on the day.
We will always be grateful for the compassion and kindness they showed us at such a difficult time.
*Please Let Us Know If You Can Join Us
It would mean a great deal to us to have you there to remember Ian and celebrate his life together.
Please let us know whether you are able to attend the funeral and whether you can join us afterwards at The Fox. If you're unable to attend, we would still love to hear from you and welcome any photographs or memories you'd like to share.
With Thanks,
Sue, Alex, Natalie, Shreya, Sam x
