In loving memory of David Viney who sadly passed away on 4th October 2026 aged 80 years.
I knew David through Scouts and enjoyed many days out walking with him over the years. Not only was he a dedicated Scout leader and keen walker, but he also expressed his lively personality and unflinching opinions in his unique way with words that will live on whenever any of us uses a ‘DVism’. I can’t make the funeral but hope it’s a good send off. 𐞵 RIP
I only spoke with David just over a week ago and he sounded positive. RIP
So sorry to hear of David’s passing, I got to know him through South Craven District Scouting. He was such a lovely gentleman, so proud to dedicate so much time to Scouting in our community. Thank you for all you did for our young people, David. Rest in peace. Imogen
