Mum loved her bingo over the years ,we won a bit of money over the years , our hapoy days together❤️xx
In loving memory of Pauline Lomax who sadly passed away on 12th September 2026 Loving wife of 60 years to Jack, devoted mum to Carol and Paul, wonderful mother in law to Elle and John, amazing Nan to Jason, Rachel, Charlotte, Olivia and Jack and the fun-loving great Nan to Ava, Lacey and Frankie.
Mum was a real character and left an impression on us all. She loved her family immensely. Her face would light up when any of us would pay a visit and she lived for her time spent with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spoilt them rotten and loved every minute she spent with them. Pauline was incredibly funny, and had a wicked sense of humour at times, having a certain way of making everybody smile. She could also be very blunt ,straight to the point and always said what she thought. She loved Bingo ,bowling and enjoyed to sing and had a wonderful church voice and wasn't afraid to lead anyone in a sing song. The memories we hold as a family will be cherished forever and continue to make us smile everyday. She will be missed dearly by all.
In her final months Pauline suffered greatly with her eyesight, her mobility and with moderate dementia . Her last few weeks were spent in hospital and a rehabilitation home where unfortunately she suffered a stroke and was moved to Fairfield hospital in Bury where she spent her last few days. She declined quickly, was not in any pain and was surrounded by her family when she passed away. Unfortunately the change we saw in Pauline was partly from Dementia which was heart-breaking for all to see. As a family we would kindly ask that should you decide to leave a memory, share a photo, light a candle or make a contribution to celebrate Pauline's life that it could be made to Dementia UK. This charity helps the families of patients who are suffering with Dementia and given our experiences we feel any contribution will go a long way in trying to make these experiences less painful to families.
For anybody who would wish to attend the funeral to pay respects to Pauline and join us in celebrating her fantastic life of 92 years it will be held on Tuesday 29th September at 1pm, West Chapel, Overdale Crematorium, Overdale Drive, Chorley New Road, Bolton, BL1 5BU. Followed by a celebration of her life at Heaton sports and Cricket club. Church Road, Bolton,BL1 5RH.

At first mum wouldn't go in the wheelchair. "What do I want that for" she would say. Once she had a go in it she was in it all the time, with her blanket and beloved hand warmer.
Mum and Dad had a fantastic night out on an Abba cruise. Mum singing all night, Dad was dancing most of it. One of the few photos were Mum has her hair straight.
Our family get togethers will be missing a larger than life character in future. Sleep well, Auntie Pauline xx ❤️
