In loving memory of Maddy Watts who sadly passed away on 27th August 2026.

Our beautiful Mum was born in 1935 in Camden, London, but shortly after her birth, her family moved to Canvey Island, which remained her home for the rest of her life.

Canvey Island became the backdrop to Mum's entire life. It was where she grew up, made lifelong memories, fell in love, married and raised her family. It was a place that was very much part of who she was.

Mum married Dad (Derek Watts) and together they built a family and a life filled with love, memories and, of course, all the ups and downs that come with a lifetime together.

She was a devoted mum to her four children, Stephen, Andrew, David and Julie. Becoming a grandmother brought another wonderful chapter to her life. She was incredibly proud of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and seeing her family grow through the generations was something very special to her.

For her children, Mum was so much more than a mother. She was our constant, our safe place and someone we knew we could always turn to. We will forever be grateful for the love, guidance and strength she gave to us all throughout our lives.

Mum lived a long and full life of 91 years, creating memories that will stay with her family forever. Her love will continue through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and the stories and memories we share will ensure she will never be forgotten.

She may no longer be here for us to hold, talk to or hear her voice, but the love she gave us will remain in our hearts for generations to come.

Rest peacefully, Mum. You were loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. Your family was your greatest legacy, and we will carry your love with us always xx

Thank you for all the precious memories we got to make with you Great Nan ❤️ You were so loving, full of jokes and always taught me so much when I was younger, especially where the Special K was in Morrisons 🤪

You will be forever loved and missed by everyone Nan. I’m so glad you’re finally back with Great Grandad and my Nan and Grandad. Please tell them how much they’ve been missed, just as much as you will be ❤️
