Anthony 'Tony' Smith (30 Jul 1964 - 19 Aug 2026)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Clive Smith, aged 62, of Harleston, Norfolk, who passed away on 19th August 2026.
Tony was a truly kind and caring man who had time for everyone. He was the sort of person who would always be there when you needed him, ready to lend a hand, offer advice, or simply be there to listen. His generosity, warmth and willingness to help others touched the lives of so many people.
Tony was a much-loved husband to Leonora, a devoted father to Gracie and Ruairi, and a beloved member of his wider family. Above all, his family meant the world to him, and the love he had for them was at the heart of everything he did.
Tony had a great love of life and the freedom it brought. He particularly enjoyed his boat, sailing and windsurfing, spending time on the water and enjoying the sense of adventure that came with it. He also had a real passion for motorbikes, enjoying the freedom of the open road, as well as flying his model aircraft, another hobby that brought him great enjoyment.
Those who knew Tony will remember not only the things he loved, but the person he was — kind, generous, dependable and always willing to help. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a great many people who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Tony will be deeply missed by Leonora, Gracie, Ruairi, his family and all his friends. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered and the countless lives he made a little better simply by being there.

All who knew and loved Tony are warmly invited to attend and join his family in remembering and celebrating a truly wonderful man. In keeping with Tony's wishes, in lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Cancer Research UK in his memory. Tony expressed his wish for people to support Cancer Research UK, a cause that was important to him.
