Oh Jilly! You were, and always will be one of the special ones. No one was ever going to be ready to say goodbye to you, but with heavy hearts all round, we will all come together to celebrate the amazing woman you were and give you a send off you deserve.

Mum, I still can’t believe I’m having to say goodbye to you. There are no words that can truly describe the pain of losing you or how much you meant to me.

You weren’t just my mum, you were the person who was always there for me, through the good times and the bad. Your love, your strength and everything you did for me shaped the man I am today. I will carry that with me for the rest of my life.

Watching you fight so hard broke my heart, but I will always be incredibly proud of you.

Thank you for being one of my biggest role models in how to conquer life. How to not take yourself so seriously and to always have fun as you never know when your time is up.

Grandad always said that he was surrounded by spirited women but it came to my realisation that we are all so spirited because of you 🫶🏼
