Although you and Dad didn’t always see eye to eye, you were always a good uncle to us, we cherish the memories, laughter and moments we shared also the love you showed us.
Your kindness and presence meant so much to us.
You will always have a special place in place in our hearts.

A Tribute to my new, and newly deceased dad !
I had only known him for two years .
I didn't know about his whole life, but when I met him, he made me feel that I had known him all of my life....and I finally felt home. Now going forward,I can remember him and that gift of ' feeling home' for the rest of my life.
We were always talking about business.
He knew all about how to run one , how to start one ...and how to start one again!, he was always quizzing me about mine ,not like a bank manager does, but like a man with a lot of experience !
Dad was such a down to earth man. I asked him about his Rolls Royce once that I had seen in one of his books, he immediately replied "I also drove the forklift lift in the yard" 😂...I thought to myself that he was a typical South Londener!!
We had many coincidences.1) we lived 500 yards apart from each other...he was one side of Chislehurst and I lived in the other.
2) of all the places that I could have chosen for my stag night...I chose JArthurs in catford . 3)I read in his books that he used a barrister at trial named Jeremy Hutchinson.4)is probably the weirdest!, we both belong to the same ski club ⛷️ where I live now in Wengen, Switzerland 🇨🇭 called 'The Downhill only club '.
The most outstanding quality that I saw in him was his ability to adapt to his surroundings , people , situations and environments. To be able to adapt , stay aligned and remain fluid moving from one arena into another and thrive within them is one of the highest forms of intelligence that there is . I mean it's right up there with meta cognition , and he was so skilled in using it .
When I went to visit him at rest in the chapel was when I realised how great a man he was. His massive energy had left
.. and I totally felt it .
Dad was a true entrepreneur and a businessman. Stories of his painting displayed in Parliament together with reports of his escape ladder being displayed in Scotland Yard museum both at the same time !! ( you really can't make this stuff up !!)
Dad/Eddie was an authentic , highly intelligent, and an honorable man.
I am so pleased that not only I got to meet him ,but my children and grandchildren, together with Donna,Sharon and Ronnies ...he loved all of his grandchildren 🔥.
So RIP dad , I am honoured to be a small part of your dynamic life, and for you to be a big part of my/our lives going forward .

Rest in peace Eddie. I remember the 1950s when we were good mates and the good times and adventures we had.

It was always a pleasure to meet with Eddie, I loved the banter,the old stories and the boxing chat.
Caren and I send our sincerest condolences to Joan and all of Eddie's family.

I feel grateful to have known Eddie .I enjoyed listening to his stories & having a pint with him. He always had something positive to say. I feel nourished to have known him. He could talk to a King one minute & a beggar the next with ease & fortititude. For the many years he loved my sister Joan, it was a joy to see them happy together. Oscar.
For someone who got to know Eddie later in life, I was fully entertained & held me in captive audience. A wonderful funny & inspiring man for the short time I knew him. He will be greatly missed. .with Love, Simmone ( Wife to Oscar).
