Elizabeth (Liz) Gardner (24 Jan 1958 - 8 Aug 2026)

In loving memory of Elizabeth (Liz) Gardner nee Upham who sadly passed away on 8th August 2026.
After a diagnosis of cancer in April last year, Liz faced this with bravery, strength, determination and a healthy amount of stubbornness. She unfortunately had many challenges along the way, but faced each one with hope, always putting her family first and taking every day one step at a time. Liz was loved and liked by all who knew her and will be sorely missed by many.

Liz’s funeral will be on the 9th of September at 12:00 at Stoke St. Gregory Baptist Chapel, followed by a burial at St. Michael’s Church, Creech St. Michael. Please feel free to wear colour or something sparkly to reflect Liz’s beautiful personality. We will then go to the Ruishton Inn for a wake to spend time together sharing our memories of Liz. Family flowers only, however if you would like to give a donation in Liz’s memory then we are collecting for St. Andrews Church, Cullompton, this will go specifically towards the continuation of the youth work, in which Brenden, Liz’s Grandson is involved as a young leader, and towards to the cost of having donkeys visit the church at Christmas, a service which Liz thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to.
