Richie was a big character and will be missed by everyone at Trant. He gave me some personal advice over the years, which I value to this day. He spoke about his family with a great sense of pride. Richie, thankyou and rest in peace.

Well Rich, today’s the day we say a final goodbye.

It’s hard to put into words what an incredible man you were and the impact you’ve had on my life.

Although I was only lucky enough to have you in my life for 5 years, you welcomed me into your family from the very beginning and instantly made me feel like one of your own. You spoke about me with such pride, always made sure I was okay, and cared about the little things - whether that was checking in after Arsenal had lost or the calls mid-rave making sure I wasn’t drinking too much! You were so caring, protective, and always looked out for the people you loved.

One of the greatest things you leave behind is your family. They are a reflection of the love and values that you held, and I especially see that everyday in Bradley. He is loyal, hardworking, generous, and kind, and I know so much of that is because of you.

You were one of the funniest people I knew with your little one liners. I still hear them in most situations everyday. We’ve all been talking about you and laughing at the fun memories that everyone has of you. We’ll never stop talking about you.

The hole you’ve left in our lives is difficult to process, and there will always be a space that now can never be filled. As much as there is a lot of sadness, there is a whole load of gratitude. Gratitude for being lucky enough to know you, to love you, to laugh with you, and learn from you. Thank you for every laugh, every gift, and every moment you made us feel loved. We will carry you, and those moments, in everything that we do, and we’ll do our best to keep making you proud.

One of the last promises I made to you was that I would continue to look after Jen and Brad when you no longer could and that is a promise I’ll keep for the rest of my life.

Love you more than words can say. Until we meet again ❤️

P.s. I’ll make sure Arthur knows all about you one day… And say hi to mum for me!

We will all miss you so much Dip… the smiles and waves from the kitchen every day, your incredible sense of humour and the bellowing of “Eloise” over the years to always make her jump and then giggle! One of life’s great men taken too soon.

Rest in Peace, Uncle Dips.

I don't really know where to start with this one, Dippy. I am devastated that you're no longer here. In my mind I still think that the next time I go to Southampton you're going to be there to greet me with that signature playful but thoroughly warm style that you were so perfect at. I'm having a tough time picturing the world without you in it because you've always been such a rock to those around you and I thank you so very much for the support, guidance, and words of wisdom I've been lucky enough to have received throughout the years.

As I'm sure is the case for everyone, there's just too many anecdotes and moments to even begin to list, but I have been thinking a lot about the little, often hilarious, phrases that you coined that would always raise a laugh and become instant classics. They will forever be a part of my rhetoric and will always raise a smile and a fond memory of the great man who was the source.

Thank you for being the best uncle I could have asked for. Rest in Peace

What can I write about such a guy.

He was the funniest of Dad’s growing up, said things as it was, told us all if he wasn’t happy, taught us things that we probably shouldn’t have known and made us all cramp with laughter at any given moment.

You’d always be welcome at the Cooper household no matter the time of day or night.
And as we got older, he’d still look after the ones that needed it.

Richard is an absolute legend, gone far too soon but he’ll never be forgotten.

Love to you all 🥹❤️

Uncle Dips,

I can hardly believe I'm on this page writing to you. It doesn't seem possible. You were such a strong, constant presence in my life that I can't comprehend that you're no longer with us. It just doesn't seem right.

You were a huge cornerstone of the wider family, and an integral part of my little family. We have all lost a huge support, a huge presence, a massive personality, and a lot of laughs. You were so important.

Alongside the above, I've also lost a phenomenal Uncle. I always felt like you were on my side, no matter what. You truly stepped in as a fatherly figure as my Dad grew poorly and then passed. I'll never forget how comforting it felt to know someone still had that fatherly eye on me, as I know Dad would've hoped for.

We're all heartbroken. The world is a very very different place without you in it. There is certainly only one of you - I'm absolutely overwhelmingly lucky to have known you, and to have had 38 years of calling you my Uncle.

Give my love to Dad, Nan and Grandad, who I know will be overjoyed to see you again - albeit, way, way too soon.

Love you, miss you, Dippy xxxxx
