Dear Aunty Sue,

I am so grateful that I got to see you one last time before you passed. To say we were shocked is an understatement. When I last saw you, you seemed to be on the mend, so this has come as such a heartbreaking surprise.

I hope you’re now reunited with Nanny Mary, Aunt Josie, Baby Laura, Aunty Sue and all our loved ones who have gone before us.

One memory I will always treasure is Clare and Gary’s engagement party, where we got gloriously drunk on blue liqueur. I ended up being sick (which was blue!), and you were right there rubbing my back and looking after me. It’s one of those memories that will always make me smile.

This isn’t goodbye—it’s bon voyage. Until we meet again.

All our love,

Steve, Karen & Baby Jack xxx
