With deepest sympathy. Zhi's light was extinguished far too soon, but the kindness she shared will always be remembered. Keeping your family in my thoughts and hope you find peace.

Hey Lily, altough we only had a few opportunities to work together, your warm-hearted presence and your attention to other people left a strong impression to me.

The little present you gave me last Christmas was just one example of how thoughtful and caring you were. Your kindness, intelligence, and positive spirit will stay in my memory.

Liebe Lily,
C.

Dear Zhi’s family,
I was heartbroken to hear of Zhi’s passing, and I want to offer my deepest condolences to you at this painful time.
I met Zhi at the very beginning of our master’s programme, when we were placed on the same first team. From the start, she was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and easy to get along with. She always remembered birthdays and marked them with small gifts and gestures, and she was the first to offer help when anyone needed it.
One of my favourite memories of her is from our second term, when we were no longer on the same team. I asked her how her new team was, and she just giggled and said, “Oh, I have two bosses now,” and then almost fell over laughing. That was so typical of Zhi – she could find humour in the situation, and there was never any air of negativity around her, only warmth and positivity.
Zhi brought light, care, and joy into the lives of those who studied with her. She will be deeply missed, but I will always be grateful for the time we shared and the example she set in how to be kind and generous to others.
Please know that you are in my thoughts, and I hope that, even in this deep sorrow, your memories of her beautiful spirit will bring you some comfort.
With heartfelt sympathy,
