In Loving Memory of Dennis Sullivan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Sullivan on 26 June 2026.

Dennis shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Helen. He was a devoted father to Bryan and Karen, and a much-loved grandfather to Daniel and Amy, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Dennis embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed a rewarding career as a Police Officer before making the most of his retirement with countless cruises and holidays, travelling the world alongside those he loved.

A passionate sportsman and sports fan, Dennis loved both playing and watching sport. He was also a true social butterfly, blessed with many lifelong friends who will remember his warmth, loyalty, and wonderful company.

Known for being dependable, caring, and always ready with a wicked sense of humour, Dennis had a remarkable ability to make people smile. Even throughout his final months, he showed incredible courage and dignity. He never complained and continued to make others laugh until the very end.

Dennis’s greatest achievement and proudest legacy was his loving family, who adored him and will miss him beyond words.

Today, we celebrate a life well lived, a man who touched so many lives with his kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.

Rest in peace now, Dennis—you were truly a legend.

Dennis you were the best . I always remember and will never forget all your support and help you gave me when I arrived in Garrett Lane as a very naive 19 year old . You were superb . I have great memories of you and Helen at my 21st birthday. You are a legend and will never be forgotten xxx

Dennis was always full of fun and it was a pleasure meeting him when we worked adjoining home beats. He was also a marvellous football referee regularly assisting the Community Involvement Team based at Tooting with refereeing the Divisional rounds of the massively popular Metropolitan Police 5-a-side football competition. Always patient and brought humour into everything he did. RIP Dennis.
